Scope of service
Code Works provides software design, development, hosting and maintenance services. The scope of each project is set out in a written quote we send you before work starts, and that quote governs the engagement.
Submitting a request through this site is not a contract. A contract begins when you accept a quote in writing.
Pricing and payment
Prices shown on this site are indicative guidance. The binding price is the one in your project quote.
Unless agreed otherwise, a portion is paid up front before work begins and the balance on delivery. Details are stated in the quote.
Intellectual property
On full payment of the agreed amount, ownership of the code, designs and assets produced specifically for your project transfers to you.
We keep the right to reuse general-purpose components and our own internal tooling on other projects, and to show the work in our portfolio unless you ask us not to.
Responsibilities
We undertake to apply reasonable professional care. No software can be guaranteed free of defects, but we fix defects that appear within the agreed scope during the warranty period stated in your quote.
Our liability is in all cases limited to the amount actually paid for the project in question.
Termination and contact
Either party may end a project with written notice. Work completed up to the termination date is payable.
